The method leaves evidence leadership can use.
- Critical-asset view
- Control priorities
- Detection coverage review
- Incident response roles
- Recovery objectives
- Improvement backlog
How to use the method
Begin with a live decision, not a blank template.
Choose one current problem, deadline, investment, or operating risk. Work through Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, Recover, and Improve with the people who own the result. Record the evidence used at each stage so leadership can challenge assumptions without rebuilding the history.
The method is complete when the decision has an owner, an agreed next action, a review date, and a measure that shows whether the condition changed. If new evidence changes the answer, return to the relevant stage instead of protecting the original recommendation.
